Hotel Laugarvatn

Compact room with limited space for toiletries.

I liked that the food for breakfast was fabulous. The location was marvellous - really close to Laugarvatn Fontana- a much better geothermal spa tha the super touristy Blue Lagoon as well as the best hot springs park. Plus it was max 5 mins walk to the lake. Overall the service was WELCOMING.

The stay was pretty enjoyable overall. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms and the lovely view we had from our standard twin room. The check-in and check-out process was straightforward, thanks to the door code system. One downside was the noise from the main road outside, which made it hard to fully relax. I also wished there were more space for toiletries in the bathroom, but the shower was fantastic and had strong water flow.

Everything was really good, marvellous location adjacent to Laugarvatn Fontana- a much better geothermal spa tha the super touristy Blue Lagoon, certain falls, and the store, amazing experience. The room was big and bright, the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and amazingly nice all the time. The breakfast was enjoyable with fruits and different toppings, as example, exactly what we required...

The spacious bathroom and rather spacious and functional room. Easy check-in, parking onsite.

I woudl have given this place a good review, but unfortunatley my room was small, narrow bed, and I had to deal with a leaky shower. Plus, where was my room upgrade? I mean, don't I deserve a little special treatment? The car park view also wasn't exactly what I had in mind for mountain scenery.

Positive, The lake view from our triple room was fine. The room was bright, clean, and had a good ensuite. We loved the on-site bar and restaurant, where dinner was excellent. Free coffee and tea downstairs was a nice touch 😊

The sitting area on the main level was a lovely spot to relax.

I found the bathroom in our room quite cramped, and the shower setup left the floor soaked after each use. We decided to use the showers at Laugarvatn Fontana instead as a workaround. It was also a bit frustrating that the restaurant was closed for dinner , which forced us to find dining options elsewhere.

I enjoyed the comfortable and clean room with fine lake views. The staff were helpful, providing excellent service throughout my visit. I also appreciated the on-site restaurant with delicious meals.

Great location, but wi-fi is unreliable and staff interaction was minimal.

Would recommend for a weekend breather

Spacious room, clean room, with a nice view over the water and convenient on-site amenities like free coffee and a bar lounge area. Quick access to Reykjavík Domestic Airport for further explorations.

There was nothing I didn't like.

This place suits me perfectly, offering great wi-fi, a cozy bar lounge area, and board games. The staff once gave me an excellent local taxi tip, which I still remember. I'm returning for a new year!

Wonderful staff provided great service. Hotel's location was perfect for exploring. Spacious, clean rooms with beautiful lake views. Enjoyed the hearty breakfast buffet included in the stay!
